Nature Routes

These types of routes aim to guide a group of people through a natural setting, showing the most notable places visited or routes from a geological and historical perspective, in which the economic factors of sustainability take on special relevance.

It's not a tourist visit, but rather an activity of cultural interest, involving a group of people interested in learning about these topics or delving deeper into them, with or without active participation, depending on the characteristics of each group.

Each route can last 1, 4, or 7 days, including travel and full-board accommodation, and departs from Madrid.

The areas visited are located in Madrid, Asturias, and the southeast of the Iberian Peninsula, places with a high level of specialization for this activity.

The aim is to provide information from an educational, scientific, and cultural perspective about the most relevant aspects of a natural route or specific place visited, while also addressing the concerns of all participants, thereby awakening their interest and curiosity about any historical aspect.

All those interested are welcomed at the points they indicate, always in small groups, and will be given a series of information and instructions, including the program of activities for the chosen route and the safety and environmental protection conditions that must be followed.

During the tour, a deep understanding of the most important natural aspects of geological origin will be provided, along with its history and sustainability. The specific appeal of each location will be emphasized, and an attempt will be made to gain a deeper understanding of environmental, social, and economic aspects, in addition to its terrestrial origin.

Participants are accompanied at all times throughout the route until its completion, and resources are provided at all times to those who, due to physical limitations, need them (walking poles, water, warm clothing, cleaning supplies, first aid kit, etc.).

A sense of humor is essential and helps make each route much more fun, as is participation through spontaneous, controversial debates, always based on mutual respect among participants.

This activity stems from a personal interest in promoting the sustainability of natural systems within a social, economic, and environmental context.

Having worked for over 25 years in the field of Geology and Geological Engineering in numerous countries around the world, and in various companies and multinationals, the idea of pedagogically explaining the meaning of environmental sustainability has become a resource for achieving a healthy understanding of it and its economic, social, and environmental preservation implications, based on a geological and historical background.

OBSERVATION OF THE NATURAL ENVIRONMENT

Tours of geological, mining, and environmental interest in coastal and low-mountain inland areas.

These tours offer an entertaining way to learn about the formation and evolution of our planet, as well as the phenomena that occur there, through simple observation of rocks and spectacular landscapes. This is accessible to anyone curious and enthusiastic about the natural environment in which we live.

The history of the mining basins of the Asturian Basin in all their aspects from the perspective of their social, economic, and environmental sustainability.

We strive to be extremely conscientious in our treatment of the geological and mining areas we visit. A protocol of respect for the environment and the professionals involved in its care must always be followed. We visit sites of geological richness that, in time scale, extend beyond the Jurassic period (it takes many millions of years for these sites to develop).

In addition to showing the environmental sustainability of each area, the aim is to raise awareness of how climate change affects the planet's sustainability.
